We were at an event here where we took over the whole facility. It's such a nice place overlooking the big cypress trees along the creek. It makes for shade and a feeling of being out in the woods or swamp. They had a buffet line and the food was very good. There was plenty of seating and the bar was at a higher level, giving the host an excellent place to stand and address the group. Excellent for a group gathering.

I wanted to love this place because the atmosphere is so beautiful and the appetizers we tried were amazing, but the sandwiches we got really missed the mark for my taste buds. First the positives, I loved the roasted and pickled beets, hummus, and truffle fries appetizers. The beets were absolutely delicious with the creamy goat cheese and fresh arugula salad, I could’ve eaten 5 plates of this! The hummus tasted super fresh and paired so well with the charred pita, veggies, and crispy chickpeas, and the truffle fries were battered, fried perfectly, and had delicious flavor. However, the fish fry sandwich was pretty dry (the fish was overcooked, the entire sandwich needed more seasoning, and the buns were crunchy and stale), and my husband’s fried chicken sandwich suffered the same issues despite getting it with the truffle honey dip. Both sandwiches were also pretty small for the price. My brother’s fish tacos were decent, but on the plain side and he commented that the entire plate could’ve used more sauce and seasoning. However, the smash burger was delicious and flavorful (just very mustard heavy) and the side cucumber salad was very tasty and refreshing. Overall, I’d say this is a great spot to grab drinks and appetizers and soak in the wonderful atmosphere, but recommend steering clear of the sandwiches.

This is probably THE best restaurant in Wimberley. The location, the view, the food are all a ten. Appreciate that it’s real food made from real ingredients. The pork chop is my all time favorite and cooked with real skill. I’ve ordered the nachos once and mine came out fantastic with toppings on every single chip. My husband loves the shrimp tacos and smash burger. Smooth running operation and I’ve had several big-deal occasions held here and my whole party was treated like VIPs each time. Get there when they open or call ahead because this place is popular.

Food was delicious but a little pricy, but it is in a tourist town. It does have an upscale vibe but is kind of a bar and grill. The Blue Hole was delicious and flavor full, the house margaritas, were really flavorless, no sweet mix, not sure there was much tequila in it. There is a great outdoor area nd the live musician was great.

We had a great time here, the scenery is just beautiful. The menu is a bit pricey but the flavors are there. We had the southern fried chicken and the Grilled yard bird sandwiches. Food was hot, would come again.
