I've been a regular here for about a year now. Their prices are fair and the quality of the kratom and kava is excellent. There's a lot of friendly people that hang around here, and cute dogs as well. If that isn't enough, they have great bars and restaurants for neighbors. If it's a chill spot you're after, look no further!

Not bad but certainly not great. The atmosphere was fine however, not much variety in their products and some were being left out in the open to serve from. Not necessarily very comfortable place to relax. The equipment (cooler) and fans are loud and take away from the atmosphere they are trying to create. On the upside the kavarista was cute, funny, and very friendly. Can't remember her name but she gets the order right and is knowledgeable about their products.

The only real Kava Bar in Wilmington, NC, Kat 5 Kava is an extremely relaxing and friendly environment. A simple menu and informative bartenders help make your decisions on what to order an easy one. They play a wide variety of music, which makes sense given the wide variety of clientele they are serving. Ultra clean and comfortable bathrooms are a rare thing to find in a public establishment, but here they have it. There is also an upstairs featuring a FREE pool table accompanied by an old game station and card games. Kat 5 is also a dog friendly bar, so you don't have to leave your furry friends at home. Don't miss this place on your way through Wilmington!
