The upscale grassroots charm at this location is intact. The concoctions are still in on point. Tucked away from 7th street you can always retreat here to just wind down after the day. The bartenders are friendly and welcoming. Double green always.

Dear Grassroots Team, I wanted to share some feedback about my recent experiences at Grassroots. While the atmosphere has potential, I’ve encountered some situations that detract from the environment. One notable issue is the behavior of certain patrons, which has made it difficult to enjoy the space fully. On more than one occasion, I’ve faced personal attacks that have not been addressed, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. I understand that different types of crowds are drawn to different environments, but I hope that Grassroots can foster a more respectful and inclusive space. In the past, I enjoyed spending time there, but lately, the tone has shifted, and it feels less welcoming to those seeking genuine connections. Dear Grassroots Team, I want to start by expressing how much I’ve enjoyed coming to your shop over the last couple of years. Your tea has always been a highlight for me, and it used to be part of my routine, especially before yoga sessions. My husband and I would frequent the shop three times a week. My brother would go there everyday to sit quietly and work. The warm atmosphere, delicious tea, and welcoming staff made it such a wonderful space for us. However, I regret to say that we’ve had a negative experience recently that has impacted our visits. There is a particular patron who is consistently loud, disruptive, and seems to monopolize the space. His behavior towards the baristas, which often includes inappropriate flirting, combined with his overbearing manner, makes the environment uncomfortable. This came to a head when he insulted my brother, who is a quiet individual on the spectrum and was simply trying to get the attention of the barista after several attempts. The patron responded by calling my brother an offensive name, and when I politely asked about the incident days later, I was met with verbal aggression and was called a derogatory name as well. We’ve always enjoyed our time at your shop and appreciate the hard work and dedication you put into creating a welcoming environment. However, given the recent experiences, we no longer feel comfortable continuing to visit unless steps are taken to ensure the space remains respectful and inclusive for all patrons. I hope this feedback can help improve the overall atmosphere of your wonderful establishment and bring it back to its original welcoming environment.

Bright, Airy Kava bar in Ybor City, Tampa. Clean. Seasonal drinks and food options. Very tasty protein cookies! Front door always open. Pleasant atmosphere. Cute cat wanders in and out the front door. Chickens run free outside protected by the city.

What a nice atmosphere for early morning coffee (or two). They also have an interesting Kava drink - just ask for it - it is designed to give you an overall good feeling and in my opinion, light buzz 🐝 Tingling and numbness on the tongue 👅 is reported by many, including myself 😃
