Dharma Kava Lounge - Kava Bar Experience

This is one of my favorite places to go for tea, Drew carries some unique flavors and you can mix and match. The atmosphere a cute hipster chic vibe, quite artistic and usually quiet unless there's an event going on. A good place to just chill and relax.

Open Mic every Monday is a blast! Open to all musicians, poets, comedians, jugglers and jesters. Amazing sound system and great stage for solos, duos and big enough for full bands.

The place is good but it's annoying to come for Karaoke and then it doesn't happen. I think it would be good to announce somewhere if karaoke will or won't happen. The only reason I drive out of my way and spend money is because I'm thinking karaoke will be later on, but then it ends up not happening.

Upon entering this place, you would think it gave cozy vibes since the photos give you that impression... but all it is, is a ratty bar with rowdy old men. Now let's get started on the experience. The man behind the bar, immediately was very rude and ignored us completely. now for background, I am disabled and my caregiver/friend was with me. we both walking into one bathroom and we're immediately greeted with whistles and banging on the door. Once we opened the door, the man yelled "one at a time" and turned his back to us. WHILE THE DOOR WAS OPEN, he said in a very hostile tone "AND THEY'RE STILL IN THERE" to everyone in the bar. My caregiver was unable to assist me in the restroom because of this pig. on exiting the bathroom, we thought we'd give it a try and walked to the couch. he then said very loudly in the same tone "AND... now they're going to just walk out... probably for the better." we sat down on the couch while looking for new lounges while we received disgusting looks and comments. one of the comments we heard was "damn and they're fat and ugly too..." the man behind the bar was a skinny white man with long nappy ratty hair pulled into sad excuse for a bun. just go to a good ol boys bar instead.

The staff greeted us as we entered, found out it was our first time, and continued to make sure we felt at home. It was a fantastic experience and was a relaxing place to chill out until we needed to head off to work. We were very happy with the kava, the service, and the venue itself. It was pretty big and seemed to have a space for stage performance and places on the walls dedicated to local artists. Highly recommend!
