Enjoy real aloha GREAT brew or fresh... A great welcome to the neighborhood - definitely the best Kava PLUS events, keiki friendly, smoking section... I love this place. All the great things about a local bar minus the booze & drama.

Really wanted to try Kava while on the big island…. Picked this place, and it was amazing. Learned a lot there and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Planning on going again if I come back to the island. A must go if you want kava.

A community space for all ages! Beautiful outdoor arrangement with an indoor very large room. Classes like dancing, drumming, yoga, etc... Weekly entertainment! Drinks of all kinds but their highlight is kawa from all around Polynesia. This alcohol free environment is perfect for people of all ages. Families with children friendly! The amount of money you spend depends on the size of your party or how much you partake in. Average is $10 to $20 including tip. You can bring your own food as they are not yet providing foods for sale. Both adult and children activities available. Great kava associated gifts like powders, concentrates and mixing accessories. There's also crystals, sage and similar items for sale. Come in for the atmosphere and kava but come back for the people! You MUST experience this kawa ohana if you're visiting South Kona. Bonus!!! The owners are AWESOME!

Around The Kava Bowl is an amazing example of what it means to bring the kava community together. Everyone there is so welcoming and the owners made sure to spend time with the guests to ensure everyone is having a great time. As someone who’s been to a lot of kava bars, I was extremely impressed with how good the kava was, the service they gave, and most importantly their hard work to make sure everyone feels welcomed and loved. We enjoyed it so much that we spent 3 of our vacation nights hanging out there. Thanks so much guys!!
